Ojikajima | Island Life
Nestled in the tranquil Goto Archipelago of Nagasaki, Ojika Island provided the perfect backdrop for a deeply immersive photography and videography project. Over the course of several months, I had the privilege of working closely with the owner of a traditional ryokan to capture the soul of both the inn and the island that surrounds it.
The project was centered on highlighting the ryokan’s serene atmosphere, where age-old traditions meet warm hospitality, as well as the island’s breathtaking landscapes—pristine beaches, lush hills, and hidden corners. My aim was to create visuals that would resonate with those looking to experience the authentic charm of rural Japan, while boosting the visibility of Ojika Island and its tourism offerings. Through thoughtful imagery, I brought to life the peaceful beauty of this island haven and the welcoming nature of the ryokan, inviting travelers to explore this hidden gem in the Goto Archipelago.
